Design Your Own Engagement Ring FAQ
How do I choose a diamond?
Start with shape and budget, then compare cut, color, and clarity within that range. Cut has the biggest impact on sparkle.
Does carat mean size?
Carat is weight. Two stones of the same weight can look different because shape, cut, and proportions also affect appearance.
Why does cut matter most?
Cut controls how light returns through the stone. A well-cut stone looks brighter than a poorly cut stone of the same weight.
What does eye-clean mean?
No marks are visible to the unaided eye at a normal viewing distance, face-up. Many VS and SI stones are eye-clean.
Natural or lab-grown?
Both share the same physical properties. Natural stones are mined, lab-grown stones are created in a laboratory, and the choice is personal.
Is the diamond certified?
Check the product page for the grading report. The report lists shape, carat, color, clarity, cut, and proportions for that stone.
